About WOODRISE
Woodrise is an international congress for the development of mid-rise and high-rise wooden buildings that attracts industry stakeholders from around the world. It started out in 2017 under the initiative of France (FCBA, the French Institute of Technology for Forest-based and Furniture Sectors) and Canada (FPInnovations). The first congress was held in Bordeaux, France in 2017, and the second in Quebec City, Canada in 2019.
Japan faces significant policy challenges regarding the use of wood for mid-rise and high-rise buildings as well as for large-scale buildings. WOODRISE 2021 KYOTO was held in Kyoto Japan in October 2021 as the Third Woodrise Congress, in order to gather extensive information and knowledge about advanced wooden-building technologies in different countries and to facilitate exchange among organizations and companies within Japan and other countries.
The WOODRISE 2021 BUSINESS SESSION will be held to provide an opportunity for the exchange of opinions and interaction among the many industry stakeholders from all over the world, including those who had wished to attend the conference in Kyoto in October but were unable to come to Japan due to COVID-19. The postponed programs — Welcome Lounge and the Gala Dinner and technical tours — will be held at the WOODRISE 2021 BUSINESS SESSION, along with seminars and B to B Meeting.
